G'day guys and girls,

Just wondering if anyone has bought and installed the 1000hp half shafts (cv) that KPM supply on their web page?

I'de like to know what others thought of them before forking out the $3700.00 price tag, I've looked into other options for strengthening the weak ass IRS and it seems that this may very well be the most cost effective way of doing so.

Also any other ideas and comments would be appreciated.

Vehicle info

BA XR6 N/A with full BF XR6T motor conversion

stronger valve springs

stage 3 process west intercooler

under battery air intake

throttle body relocation

bigger injectors

waste gate mod

4" dump

hi flow cat

and a custom tune to respectable 320rwkw

prior to the power upgrdades I had no trouble at all matey, but with in 8 weeks of the tune I shattered 3rd gear of the t5 gearbox and now the passenger side shaft (cv) is gone.

(my comment on the WEAK ASS IRS is more so based on the storries found on this forum, rather then personal experience)

ive just bought the IRS set up out of a BF F6 with the hope that it might help.

I dont intend to stop at 320kw so as things give way I replace them with stronger gear, looking at nitros set up after getting the engine rebuilt.

The main reason behind the craddle change was the diff itself, not so much the cv's. Just thought it may help as my falcon doesnt have lsd or traction control..I was thinking of putting the stronger shafts on the F6 craddle.

I dont claim to know everything about these fords, that's why I joined this forum, so far it has helped em to get where I am today with it,so im always open to ideas and thoughts guys.

thanks nelsonian101 I'll look into diff technics.

Dude that's a last thing on your list

Std half shafts with an auto go quite far

Manual shock loading them farks em up

wasn't having a shot at you....you wont gain much going to the bf f6 cradle as it's essentially the same as an xr6t. BA cradles seem to be stronger in the rear bush mounting area (plenty of late bf's/fg's breaking this mount off the cradle of late)

Don't lower the car too much, don't run super sticky tyres and replace worn diff mounting bushes and you'll be surprised how long a set of shafts will last.
