Changed Fuel Pump Filthy Fuel Tank Pics.

So I did the pump upgrade to a Walbro GSS340. Never want to do that again its a pain in the ass. Next time I'll buy the pump already in the sender and save myself a headache.

Anyway, the pump filter and tank was filthy with a black jelly substance and bits of black grit throughout the tank. I used a clean white rag to mop the bottom of the tank while it was open to get as much out as I could.

That has nothing to do with the type of fuel you buy. It's got everything to do with where you buy the fuel from.

My tank was very similar when I upgraded my fuel lines for E85.

The strainer on the bottom of the pump was completely rooted!

wish I took pics now actually.

I reckon since it takes 5 mins tops to check it( BA ,Bf sedans anyways)

I too only ran BP 98 yet my tank was a disaster waiting to happen!!!

Do u mean removing the factory intank pump from the factory swirl pot to replace with a walbro??

Cause that's a 5 min job

Maybe I am misinterpreting what your saying???
