(ask me how I know)I now have 8" long guide bolts to prevent such problems. Please explain ?

If you gearbox (and therefore) input shaft aren't 100% aligned, or if the clutch isn't assembled 100% centre it's possible to bend the plates. The bend causes clutch drag with obvious consequences. I have some long guide bolts made up that align the box before input shaft engages the clutch hub to help prevent tweaking the plates.

Is it notch engaging reverse/first when stationary or just low take up?
rollex Member 683 Member For: 10y 6m 7d Gender: Male Location: Australia Posted 11/11/14 01:36 AM Share Posted 11/11/14 01:36 AM Apparently it would not engage reverse unless you turned the car off and first was hit and miss.
