So secret ingredient to the success of my clutch is a spigot bearing thats had all the lubrication washed out of it and run dry?

I do remember now he replaced the one supplied because it felt like it was about to seize when turned with your fingers. He showed me and i said get a new one.

I deal with bearings every day at work and would make that call everytime when putting something "brand new" together. And im not even a mechanic.

Maybe in the instructions you need to tell the mechanic why they need to use your bearing that feels half seized.

The 63003-2rs bearings feel tight due to the large dia balls used and the double row seals used on each side. They are tight until you get them moving past the seal drag.

They are a heavy duty sealed bearing, they will never spin as freely by hand as say a regular 6003 or the bearing used in the belt tensioners. But they also wont leak grease.

Ok. Well ill accept we should have used spigot bearing provided instead of putting it in the bin and buying a new one. But I wont accept my clutch failed because of it. There was no signs of contamination on the contact side.

Im just over it now. Do what you will and say what you want about my pics. I have nothing more to say in this thread other than thanks but no thanks.
