Got the ute back today with everything fitted up.

Gotta say, I'm going to need to do more leg work at the gym!!

Feel's fantastic but so god damn springy haha, will take a lot to get used too.

Big thanks to Mal wood Automotive for the ginning around and looking after me!

Did you double check you don't have any oil leaks and that the friction surfaces on the clutch, pressure plate and friction plate were drowned in brake clean, wiped off and blown dry so they were surgically clean before fitting? :derisive:

last time I saw Daniel and Simon (Cat600) the owner of the 1000+hp kennebell blown TS50 and Simon from XFT's 1000+ F6 they where both running xtreme carbon triples. Shoot Daniel a PM on here and give simon a call, get it from the horses mouth.

Got into this thread a bit late, but ive run the triple carbon in the AU and in the end while not a bad street clutch that will take a lot of power found it too angry on drivelines, especially when hot it will get very grabby and start killing driveline bits... I lost two T-56's to this clutch (both the older synchro design) since I went 9" diff and the PPG dogbox no issue but its not that nice to race with.

I went to a Spec stage 5 (sintered iron disc) a couple of years ago and never looked back, rated to 1000lbft it will be good in a turbo 6 to about 550rwkw id say and is great to drive daily and perfect at the track as you can slip it a bit. I have done 12,000kms on it so far and about 20-30 6000rpm sidestep launches on slicks with the twinscrew at about 550rwkw.,,, the triple carbon was retired to the Twin Turbo (until recently I went back to the ZF) and was great in there because it didnt see the strip as a manual... good for the dyno will take a lot of torque!

So I've been trying to find out the part number for the sealed type spigot bearing that may get supplied with the malwood kit or even other kits. So far all I've been able to find out is the Timken FC65174 is the normal exposed needle roller type bearing that is in the falcon.

Can someone give me the part number for the sealed one and who makes it?

Cheers.

Well John from alloy race gear came and hand delivered my new 900 ceremetalic torque clamp the other day.

Gotta say that's a top effort on his part. This is after he had already came out to let me test drive the kevlar in the test ute. Another top effort.

To me it looks like was clamping around the outside more, by the angle of the clamping faces and the shine on the plate.

Looks like it made it shudder by the marks.
