The only posts that have been deleted are irrelevant posts that aren't contributing to the thread. EVERY single post relevant both positive and negative are still here.

Can we make a note of how much torque people are making because as I understand the dyno reading is calculated from the wheels

where as maximum torque would be going straight to the fly wheel?

^^and if this is the case then I can't see how your 250rwkw SS point is valid as 5-600nm car doesn't compare to a 1000nm+ 350kw turbo falcon

Thanks for clarifying that Paul. Like I said my car isnt even up and running yet, Just abit nerve racking when I came across this thread and seen the problems people were having with the opt5.

One thing I will say though is you said about taking a new ford to the track and breaking a tailshaft as an example, What do you expact people to be doing with a 550+rwkw rated clutch? There not buying it just because it looks good, 99.9% of them will be using them at the track and expect them to hold up whether they are using street tyers,Semi's or full slicks.

1000nm + 350 kw ??

I see what you did there. was actually 1000nm(nospace)+(space)350kw. Probably needed a comma but thanks Ratter

In summary, a 350 rear wheel kilowatt falcon that makes 1000+ newton meters of torque with a 3+ clutch rated at 410 rear wheel kilowatts

may not actually be upto the task and slip/carry on like a pork chop.

Would this be correct? I know I'm making 400-ish with 940nm torque and my clutch is buggered

^^

This is what I was curious about earlier. The amount of torque some of these cars produce differs quite a lot from that of a Expensive Daewoo V8 with the equivalent rwkw figure. Add to that peak power comes on earlier.

Also how is this any different to the ZF automatic girls out there who keep snapping strengthened input shafts and flex plates? No warranties for them from the get go.

Im just pissed cause my 410rwkw opt3+ failed with 320rwkw.

Then I get told that's crap because a 250kw Expensive Daewoo hasnt f*cked a 350kw opt3.

Your idea that a v8 is the same as a turbo is floored one builds torque from down low in a linear fashion the other build torque rapidly in a short space of time you really carnt compare the two which one is more likely so slip the linear one or the one that's piles the torque on rapidly ?

Staino why are you continually skirting around the million-dollar question(s)? Who did you get it from? What have they had to say about it? Have you called Mal Wood?

Tab as your aware a few posts have been deleted . For " stirring the issue " and I think staino (going by no posts) has been suspended from posting .. So this question is a little irrelevant as he can't answer it ... Or can he ???
