Wow... Option 3 not up to 320rwkw? You'd think they'd replace it for sure?

And the option 5!!! How much power do you have FPVFGS? What's an option 5 supposed to hold?

Pazz.. I know a bloke locally who's running an Opt 5+ in an F6 making 430rwkw..

Same feedback as above.. It held the power round town.. But it didn't last at the track

Yea the ratings are a little missleading but Mal clearly asked what I wanted the clutch for I said street and he did say it will not take kindly to lots of clutch dumps or clutch kicks... The 3+ is still a single plate clutch if anyone in their right mind thinks any single plate clutch will hold 400kw in all applications eg track, has rocks in his head...

I put an Opt 3 in my father in law's GT and it makes around 350rwkw on Nos. Very nice to drive, and holds the power but has only seen one trip to the strip with ET streets, still very good though.

I run a Textralia Twin plate in my car and originally it was twin carbon plates. Very noisey, very heavy on the pedal and was tricky to get the car moving smoothly without more than 2k rpm. In saying that the clutch took 50,000ks with around 370rwkw, drag session, powercruise, 2nd and 3rd gear clutch kicks. Even after it started to slip under full load in 4th it was still holding well in all the lower gears.

I've had it rebuilt using one organic plate and one carbon plate. I also asked Pete @ Tex to lower the pedal pressure so its a little less draining in stop start traffic. The clutch is much nicer to drive with now, but it won't drop a skid as easily as before. My priority was for street use now so I'm happy with the result. I still think that a Mal Wood Opt5 is the best clutch I've driven in a turbo on the street...

Ben never said 400, he said 320. 80-90kw under its rating.

Also I'm happy with my ME clutch.

But disappointed that I won't be able to even try semi slicks.
