Im about due for a new turbo as well. What is needed to change the standard turbo on a BA to a GTX3582r?

I have found plenty for sale, most without housing. What size turbine housing would I need?

Your stock exhaust housing will bolt straight on. You will need to change your hotside piping as the stock outlet is 2 1/4" and the GTX is 2 1/2". You will also need to change intake pipe as the GTX has a 4" intake compared to the stock 3".

Just an update for those interested, I ended up taking my Turbo to ben at procharge, for a rebuild and couldn't be happier, he is a awesome guy to deal with and was very helpfull, took the Turbo to him and within 24hrs had it back with new genuine chra, not only that, when he gave it back to me I thought it was new, couldn't believe how clean it came up and all this came way under the cost of what I had been quoted elsewhere. Have the Turbo in now and car is going awesomely thanks to ben and unclewal for putting me onto him anyway moral of the story is if your Turbo is shagged no matter where you live, seriously consider sending it to ben at pro charge. Thanks for the tip unclewal...

Wreckers are after $1000 for one with 150000k seems a bit of a gamble.

A brand new turbo core cost $1000 for me.....Genuine brand new I seen it with me own eyes.

Edit: Sweet! good to know you did the right thing OP and are happy.

It's annoying but sometimes spending a slight bit more money gets excellent results and service.
