Hey everyone

I collected my new GS ute 2 days ago, racked up about 500km so far on her. I just have 1 question.

I've owned fords before, but just interested to know whether or not after some spirited driving (baring in mind it was 41 degrees in Adelaide yesterday) My GS had its cooling fans running at full pace... and its loud! is this normal?

cheers boys

G'day Southside, hope your enjoying the new beast mate! Yep, it's normal for the fans to be humming away, well mine does anyway. Lately with the weather being so hot and after a good squirt I have noticed it a bit more, mine are not what I would call loud but it is noticeable......nothing to be concerned about though mate :)

Good to hear mate. if your happy with it now just wait til' you get it tuned, it's like getting a whole new ute all over again....you'll be grinning from ear to ear after you give it a good foot full, even the traction control doesnt know what's going on! Mine will still lay a 30 or 40 meter blackie up the road before the traction control works out what's happening and with it switched off is another story in itself!

Apart from the obvious (wheels, suspension) just K&N filter, 2 1/2 inch cat back and a tune 359.6 rwkw. I have had it flashed back to stock for the moment as I wasn't happy with the tune.....initial throttle response was terrible and they used the HP tuning system so I'm going to go with the xcal this time around.....much better from what Mick from Pitlane and Simon from Nizpro have told me. Just in two minds as to which tuner I will go with.....both are very reputable tuners so either way I can't go wrong and thier results speak for themselves. Who are you using for your tume mate?

I Have an Xcal flash tuner as well, I'll be using this with a K&N Filter, and exhaust system. My tuner here in adelaide is Bruce Hienrich. His a god when it comes to tuning cars! He did my old BA turbo. never had an issue with it ever! So I'll be seeing him for my tune in about 4 weeks time :)
