If you don't want to buy new wheels' dba t3 with good pads from race brakes and braided lines yields good results over factory, save a few thousand buy new rims and brembo or harrop kit and prepare for a bruised forehead

Am looking at doing something to my BA ute, and wondered on the value of the bigger disc and adaptors on Ebay that use your existing caliper? Would these be an option to do for an FG as well?

Brembos and Harrops are great, but expensive.

Can brakes be too expensive... Lets put a price tag on a few things.. The neighbours cat/child ... You...

Yes the big brand names are expensive but you don't have to go that extreme, like mentioned above a good set of rotors with a high iron content and some good pads. Race pads are great if you get them hot... Rarely in a streetcar... I'd look for something ventilated with a medium pad and you're wallet should be ok. Braided lines are well worthwhile, spend the money there. Go and see pirtek as they can make them to suit and are cheaper than the kits found online. It's interesting to see big hp cars with stock braking systems... After all at some point you have to pull it up somehow.

street driven go for dba or rda and some good pads, I have tryed slotted dba's and rda's slotted dimpled gold series and I couldnt fault either, I would go rda just because they are cheaper and I went with redstuff pads which I cant fault either

yeah, just better rotors and pads (I got slotted rda and afm pads) and good fluid.

if you tow or are super hard the stock rears can give you trouble, but you can get the teritory calipers for about $350 and rda rotors for $100 ish (takes it from 298 non-vented to 328 vented I think from memory and a much bigger pad)

I have never had mine fade bad yet
