im unfortunatly am going to have my licence suspended soon on the 9th of january to be exact.

I don't know if I should either a: lose my licence for 3 months or

b: go on a probabtionary for 1yr

one year does seem like a long time with 2 points its kind of scary, I need to drive for work but 2 points for a year :hrmm: . and also I heard the demerit points come off imediatly and not when u pay. if that is true does that mean its the same for camera offences, because a mate of mine went threw a red light camera in my car about 6 weeks ago so the fine will come to me first and wont that mean I lose points until it gets reprocessed under his name.

anyway if anyone has any info to my camera dilema im all ears!

I'd go for the 3 month suspension..

You think 4 points on youre P's was bad, try 2 points..

I'll look after your car for you too :D

Edit:

I got done by a red light camera a while ago and I didn't loose the points till I paid the fine 3 weeks ago.

I wasn't aware there was a choice (maybe not in Mexico)

owna ... go the 12 months of "P"

about the camera and old pics of your mate driving ... I would have thought that they temporarily belonged to the car and then end up against the actual driver's licence, but back-dated to the day of the infringement

all the best

The points come off when the fine is paid in WA and Qld. Taxis for 3 months maybe?

I've got a bike you could borrow, although I have gone nearly 18mth without losing a point.

You watch, the next time I drive, I'll get done. Now I've done it.

In my view its better to have a P licence than no licence. That way when you are asked " have you been disqualified from driving" you can say no.

Lesson learned 20 years ago......

might also affect your insurance later mate.

A mate of mines dad took the three month option. He is 55 and drives a new fairmont so is never pulled over except for an infringement. HE drove as per normal on the suspention and got away with it.

I would not recommend it in a turbo as it does turn the head. Actually I would not recommend it full stop, different strokes for different folks.

The points will be taken on payment of the TIN as the doc explained
