I raced a stocker before Xmas after driving at 40 kph for 5 minutes & we were equal. Drove for 1 minute at 100kph, raced again & I nailed him.Scotty

Hi xrdreaming.Mate instead of spending good money on water sprayers why don't you get a PWR intercooler, designed to bolt straight in 10mm thicker and twice the height, 1.5lb restriction instead of 4.5lb, only $895 and you don't have to stop at every tap you drive past. Why have a fire truck when you can have a race car?, especially considering that you are going to have an injector upgrade. Your standard intercooler will become your weak linkAlso up in this kW bracket if you want to save your trans (if its auto) fill it with REDLINE, it will still run cooler without a trans cooler than normal ATF will run with a trans cooler. So if you have REDLINE ATF and a trans cooler you are going to run much less heat through the auto. Heat = destruction.Regardless of which way you go once the bigger injectors are in you can run 10 -12lb of boost, man it feels good, enjoy

Also had a nice big auto trans cooler fitted and will be using redline fluid in the auto.Result was I now have 238.9kw at the wheels (For those of you who want it, it is 251.0kw at the back wheels in Dyno Dynamics shootout mode 6)The car is most definatley quicker, starting to feel real quick again however by idle still needs more work as it is a bit rough. We are currently running a modest 10 psi and will increase this when the ic goes in along with better valve springs.I have only driven a short distance but I think it is now taking the auto a bit longer to change between shifts with a bit of flaring , trust me I will let you know how it progresses.Cheers,Dean

Posted 14/01/04 02:44 AM Share Posted 14/01/04 02:44 AM Hey Dean, have you had the valbvebody in the auto changed over ?What other mods do you have? Is your work being done at Amberley Auto's in Dandenong? I had 233rwkw's without the injectors running just under 8psi of boost. I would have thought that with bigger injectors and 10psi of boost you would have got a little more. With the flaring of the auto, is it at all times or only under hard acceleration? Is it with all shifts or just 2-3 at full throttle? I will be getting the bigger injectors soon and was looking at the waterspray too. How much is the PWR intercooler installed and what performance increases do you expect? Thanks Geea.

Posted 14/01/04 02:49 AM Share Posted 14/01/04 02:49 AM Ok, I have just re-read your first post and seen your mods. I have a 2nd cold air intake and believe that it makes a huge difference. You could try a dyno run with the intake lid off and see if there is a difference. If there is you make want to install one. :o Hope this helps, Geea. I will keep you posted.Cheers,Dean
