I've had my whole fuel system out and cleaned (including tank) from a batch of fuel. I had a lean spot mid RPM, then found my plugs to show signs of running lean, then found my fuel filter full of mud!

I don't know if mine was that bad, but I'd like to know if it is worth pulling the pump out and cleaning or changing that mesh filter in the tank and mopping up any dirt in the bottom of the tank. But what's the best brand of fuel filter to run in the FGs?I'm thinking of replacing mine to ensure my girl isn't dirty in the piping department. The standard filter in the tank at the time though was full of black soot with 25000km on the car which was previously owned in Warwick QLD!Pump is still going fine without noise...
