Hey guys,

My dads got a 2008 (or 2009) GT-P 315.

He was curious what mods he could do to it just for some simple power and not overly expensive.

I was also curious if its possible just to get a flash tune on these things and what power it would put out after that?

theres not an easy and cheap way to get a good power increase from a na car.

tell hime to trade up to a s/c coyote, leave it stock and have twice as much fun...

Haha Panda I told him the same thing. But he has it set in his mind that the 315 GT-P is better than the 335, no idea why.

I dont know how much power he wants from it, but im guessing he only wants to mod a little bit. So maybe an exhaust and tune

Having sat through the process recently . It is hard to deny the instead feel behind the steering wheel behind either the GS or GT supercharged engine .. The old 5.4 was lethargic down low , yet the supercharged 5.0 , is keen and alert - delivering torque from as low as 2200rpm - right through to 5400rpm. Although the power curve is very much linear - the throttle response is near instant in the supercharged engine.

Punch the start button and you have that all too familar eight sound , but give it a lttle throttle and that unmistakeable whine of the supercharger buzzes through the firefall and up your spine !!!

It so hard not to like the supercharged eight - and it as poised as the 315 5.4 lt - however , does all things right from slow to substantial shove under acceleration .. If I was to have to make the decision again - 5 out of 5 times I would choose the supercharged 5.0 over the 5.4 .. - Sorry !! :buba:

My BA 290 was capable of running 11's on slicks, so yes the boss can be made to go well, but Luke is correct, I presently have a FG 315 and will not do anything else to it as I can do heaps of mods and tune and it will only just match a stock S/C 335, so at some stage I'll probably just upgrade to one of them rather than just chuck money away

Yep, have to agree whole heartedly with Ratter & SteveR......save your money and buy the S/C GS/GT. So much potential from factory and it's an absolute gem of an engine. Head down to your dealer and get your hands on one before the last of the 'proper' FPV's are gone.
