Depends on what other mods are done.

if you expect to just throw on an intake without getting it tuned and other supporting mods its pretty much a waste of time doing anything, obviously the ones that are bigger, shorter pipework will flow better then the others

I had 340, went from 3" intake to 4" and picked up 0 kw at the same boost.

^^^ I know of an FG F6 making high 300's that gained absolutely nothing with the same tune (other than noise) buy losing the crossover and SS growler. Proved to me once and for all that unless you have a high mount or other big HP configuration that requires removal of the crossover, it's not needed. I know B series plumbing is messy by comparison (to FG) so maybe some gains are to had there. From memory, Ratter's testing was done with the OEM paper filter also and not a K&N or similar.

Bomber I had mine re-tuned with the intake fitted... not really much point to modifying the car if you're not going to get it tuned to match those mods. However it is possible that I gained more power due to updates made in the tuning software (was about 6 months since the last tune). Obviously I wasn't really going to notice 11kws (2.5%), it was the response time of the turbo that felt a lot sharper, more instant power. I was very glad I did the intake as they were able to fatten my low-mid range power right up in the tune
