I bought the car around 4 weeks ago at Manheim Auctions Moorebank, it's an ex cop car and I noticed the engine noise around 3 weeks ago, it only comes on after driving the car hard and/or the engine is hot. I've been driving the car with the noise for a while now as it's the only transport I havehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=TzrPhSkQe84http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=9arE8KdsXno

My old Ba MKII turbo did it as well.

With 100k Id look at changing the drive belt at the same time.Worst case scenario it just my be your timing chain tensioner and/or chain guides... I had it changed by my tuner. Also changed the drive belt at the same time. It seems to be a common issue - mine had about 120k at the time.
