a gtx is only $1500

Good to know for when my stocker finally gives up the ghost. Does that include turbine housing though? I see an ad for 1550 stating no housing so I hope mine isn't cracked when it happens.

OP have you looked at KPM? Don't they offer performance upgrades through Ford dealerships and then warranty their work?

Yep, ford socs have a computer called oracle which reads how many times the pcm has been flashed, if it is more than the flashes recorded under warranty the pcm has been tampered with

say you had a ecu out of a wreck with a tune on it and ran that everyday, and just put the original back on for warranty claims, would that work?

Stop being tight arses.

If you want warranty - don't mod.

Simple

no actually its not.

I think if you modified and broke something fair enough.

I dont think enthusiasts should be penalised for design faults.

and ford understands this believe me. recently I had a gt ute come in with a milkshaked auto, had 400hp and tuned zf, still get everything under warranty due to it being a known fault

Just to say... Allianz warranty is poo like all other warranty provided by dealerships... It's an upsell... if thy paid out more than what u pay they wouldn't do it... Whoever paid for it got raped!

Also ....

For the mods that op is looking at I wouldn't bother ... For the gains vs the cost =poo

However if u wanna mod and are worried abou Allianz warranty not new car warranty then mod anyway coz it's a sh*t warranty
