Well, given they are stockists of herrod gear (seaview Ford, for those of you playing at home) and a ford dealer, I'd imagine things would get very interesting if they fitted equipment to your warranted car, and then tried to deny you a claim.

Then again, at $1700 for xcal and a tune, they can probably afford it.

Or in my case, it's Alianz. As it's extended warranty. Anyway didn't mean to cause a shizit fight. I think if you mod under warranty at all you need to be up front and ask or just don't bother. They have said simply, if something goes wrong as a result of even the minor mods, I have to be willing to accept the consequences. They said anything that goes wrong that has nothing to do with the mod will not be an issue. They also said if I did anything more than what I've asked then yes the warranty would be voided. This is relating to the Alianz extended warranty, I don't know about Ford new car warranty.

I had one of those Allianz warranties with my last car a bamkii turbo and the first time I tried to use it which was valve springs they wanted me to pull the head off and send it to some expert to have it tested before they would okay the repairs, I just paid for it second time was a new starter motor which went through but they wanted to negotiate the price with the repairer. I decided to mod after that and forget the warranty.

A work mate had the Allianz extended warranty on his car.. There is apparently a l clause that says you can't go more than 500 or so kays past a log book service or warranty is voided.. For me that's next to impossible to satisfy as I never know how many kays I'd go in a week..
