What is the most people have done without voiding warranty on major engine components? I have read my warranty back to front and it is obviously not black and white. I decided to call the dealership and they have said as long as the modification does not result in the failure of other components (I.e loss of compression due to dirt through engine whilst replacing air induction). But it states in the booklet that anything that changes the cars original specifications may void warranty. To me the key is to ask dealer and warranty organization and seek clarification. I am going to replace fg snorkel and airbox with xr8 gear and get a k&n panel filter (that is as much as I dare do and I have sought advice). What I want to know is what more have others done on warranty without voiding?Ant

Should a component fail as a result of your modification they can deny the claim.

However as I've read, I'd need to get a tune with exahust mods, which will impart void warranty. Hence I've limited it to just filter and intake mods.Ant

It's a rather expensive mod when weighed against the gain, if any.

That approach won't work. It's the first thing they check.
