I don't think it's a very extreme case as you can only see it from some angles however I think it's pretty sub standard for a brand new vehicle. Does anyone know if it can be corrected and if so would it be covered under warranty? 1 Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/83401-brand-new-orange/ Share on other sites

The FGs actually have a pretty decent finish on them compared to some cars. Enjoy your car and worry less. 1 Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/83401-brand-new-orange/#findComment-1343000 Share on other sites

I wouldn't attempt this if I was you. Plus long term, even if you do cut the peel back, you are also cutting back the UV protection the base coat (colour) has. Unless your car is extremely bad for some reason, which I'm yet to see an FG so bad. I would leave it as it is. Even if they would fix it under warranty, would you be happy having your whole car pulled apart and re painted? I wouldn't. The fg finish is pretty good considering how bad EL AU falcons were . They were completely terrible ... It doesn't really bothered me, as someone said when I take a step back she looks schmick anyway. I just had never noticed it before so wanted to check that my car hadn't had a dodgy paint job. Every car iv seen now iv got right up close to check the paint and sure enough they've all got it 1 Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/83401-brand-new-orange/#findComment-1343279 Share on other sites
