I've been running Eflex in my car for 12 months.

2 quick questions:

Would occassional tanks/flushes of 98 ULP (with the 98 tune on my sct xcal 3) alleviate the problem?

Is the hose off the Surge tank the one I should check?

A lot of issues with this gunk on the evo's stems from the pickup location in the tank. And not adequately cleaning the system and tank prior to running E85. Same probs can be seen with falcons, if the system isnt cleaned first. We all know that the ethanol content WILL PURGE YOUR SYSTEM.

Still amazes me to this day how people can be so shocked, when the filter fails, lines crack, gunk appears....

That's the ethanol doing what it does. A THOROUGH system clean will prevent a lot of this happening.

Hi mate they say 6 tanks of e85, then one tank of 98 unleaded, sould alleviate the problem, theres also a e85 injector cleaner out there, but dont stress mate, if your car feels good you have nothing to worry about, you will feel the car not run right if there was something wrong,an then from there no thrashing the car and sort the problem out as soon as possible.

My problems I believed occured was with using 98 premium for over 145 thousand kays then converting to e85 which would have flushed an cleaned out all the gunk out of my fuel system, but my pumps are all fine injectors aswell, an since I cleaned out the rest of the system the car is running perfect, just last night took it out for a belting and it loved it, feels like 410rwkw again :)

With your surge tank check all your lines for cracks an if there not e85 compatible change it to a hose that is, right now im using a new version of 3/8.gates barricade greensheild that is e100 compatible but im yet to give motorsport connection feedback of this hose.

At my next service I will be ripping out the whole fuel system out again an check to see how things are going and il let you guys know.
