HYPEDF6 Donating Members 301 Member For: 12y 1m 17d Gender: Male Posted 28/12/12 07:01 AM Share Posted 28/12/12 07:01 AM Hey guys,I have removed the Towbar setup from the rear of my fg f6 and now there is obviously a hole cut into the bumper.I know with previous vehicles I have been able to purchase a block off cap that just inserts into the bumper nice and flush.Is this available for the fg f6 ? And there is no peice to put there. I do like the design of the older falcons that had a removable section like your mentioning for the bumper. I'm not exactly sure what the F6 bar is like, but the XR has a 2 peice bar and the black section can be purchased separately, but that's only helpful if you don't ever want the tow bar back on really. Just waiting on a call from a mate that works at ford, when they fit their next tow bar he will keep the cut out section. Then somehow will stick it back in there.. And although I haven't actually done a FG F6 rear bar, I would bet its another section that is clipped in to the top section just like the XR bars are. You would need to still remove the whole bar to change it over to get to the lugs on the back of it. I'll have a look at an actual car and let you know by this arvo. If you want the hole gone, cheapest way, would be remove the bar, take it to a motorcycle repairer/plastic welder, they could most likely fill the hole. these guys are usually pretty good.
