So the coolant inside the reservoir was milky? It didn't just looked milky on the outside?

A new zf from ford is +$6000.....

Look at a decent place to rebuild it like cms,xft,monster torque,nizpro etc etc

Haven't there been cases of ford replacing the ZF outside warranty periods due to the milkshake?

Ford only tend to help outside of warranty when the car has a full FORD service history and the warranty has only recently run out. You would also have to shout pretty loud - your average dealership would see it as a pay day - contacting Ford directly about the issue (through the customer relationship centre or in writing) is probably the best way.

Sorry champ was hoping it wasnt the case. This has made it a definite purchase of a extended warranty for me when my factory warranty runs out in March.

So now the question is, if my car is stuck in lilydale and I have to get it towed tomorrow should I take it ford and get ripped off or should I try find a transmission specialist?? Any ideas/contacts would be helpful.
