Hi, Im new to the forum and am looking at future car idea's and am curious what sort of money would you have to spend on a stock xr6t to hit 10's at the quater mile? What sort of mods would I be looking at and how reliable would the car be for a daily driver? And what sort of fuel consumption would I be looking at? Thanks :)

yup. depends on if you want to use the car as a daily or a dedicated drag car

strip everything out except drivers seat and its gonna be alot easier.... but still not easy.

Here is how I did it

BF2 XR6T

Xforce dump, high flow cat, twin 2.5 inch catback

80lbs injectors

PW 2.2 kit (BA/BF)

ported turbo and larger flapper

Walbro intank fuel pump

Plazmaman surge with Aeromotive A1000 fuel pump

retubed tailshaft

xcal 3

e85 tune

10.91 @ 131.14 MPH

Total cost $9,000, Autotechs labour is not the cheapest

Standard Tony, almost 140,000 klms on her now, all comes down to tune, how much abuse you throw at it an how well you maintain it.

Seriously thinking about a GTX but not finished with the standard turbo yet.
