There's a mechanic somewhere here by the name of Wayne Kerr

Anyone who thought FPVs were built any different to the rest probably also thinks the V8 supercars roll off the same line.

It's a shame to see them close but at least some of the extra stuff they did can now take place where it makes more sense (why put slave wheels on when you can just put the proper ones, ditto bumpers, rockers, etc, and as for the extra holes-no brainer)

I guess some cold hards are in order. In the main, most people think the FG blows. How else could you explain that such a good engine package sells at 50% of its main rival with a dinosaur pushrod clunker? Through all the talk of HSV's over the top styling etc, the bottom line is, FG falcon's styling is just too boring. Throw into the mix FPV's dumb decisions like povo brakes on the GS without a brembo option, skinny rubbber on the rear (except for new Rspec) and you start to see why people have brushed them. The FG looks too soft for most and the gun engine came too late. Lets just hope the parts bin gets better used from here on until Falcon is dead.

^^^ I'm just as disappointed as everybody else. CEOs come and go at Ford and the same chit decisions seem to repeat themselves. Must be really hard on staff also - the ones that still have jobs that is.

I agree with you Bomber, I do like some aspects of the FG but I prefer the shape of the Bf better. I have a Bf pursuit ute and think it's styling looks more aggressive.

Just to drag this up again, has anyone seen the media statement about Ford shutting down FPV next year? Or am I waaaay to slow?
