CheersTrainer had this with the bov blocked, and it's loud as. And only $180 odd so half that of the growler. But I imagine based on that, spending $450 on cooler pipes would be best. jmac86 Member 85 Member For: 12y 9m 16d Posted 24/12/12 10:21 PM Share Posted 24/12/12 10:21 PM (edited) Why?The dozing sound is air flowing the wrong way through your turbo.. There is a reason a bov is on the car.. Would blocking another integral part of the car sound logical? Stuff a rag in your exhaust and see how that works. Lmao. Air surging the wrong way through the compressor leads to shaft play in the turbo. If your planning on replacing the stocker keep it up, will give you a good excuse for the missus.. But a loose shaft can lead to fouling which leads to metal particles through your motor.. Anyway if you are after the intake noise you want aluminium intake hoses not plastic, they resonate the sound. A bov will only give you the venting noise, as that is what it does.. which varies from make and model ie. Forge sounds like a cash register, the gfb give the pshhht noise and if you add the whistling trumpet it gives you the peeewww noise. No plastic to soak up noise.
