I went for cruise while ago I found that my brakes wernt working properly. I found that the PVC valve had shattered. So allowing boost to get to the brake booster. So I replaced it but feels like sometimes that when I've just boosted then back off for the corner feels like something is holding the pedal up so I apply more pressure and it pushes down probably another half and inch, then it starts to set the abs off and try to stop the car. I have put 4 piston brembos on the front and ford territory rear brakes.

I've tried so far

-new PVC valve

-About 4 years ago my abs pump crapped it self and made it have no abs at all

As stupied as is sounds is there a difference between the na xr6 and the f6 master cylinder.

Or is my master cylinder playing games or my abs pump again.

Brake issues = get to a specialist! Gotta be able to stop with confidence. If you can keep it garaged while you get advice on here all good though.

the pcv valve has nothing to do with your brakes unless you mean the 1 way valve on the booster. From your description it seems like you have a faulty 1 way valve or a hole in the booster diaphragm.

Replace the check valve with one from ford parts the aftermarket ones are generally are useless, have you had the brake warning (( ! )) light up on your dash have you bled your brakes lately ?? If so did you flush your lines

All that said booster diaphragm is the most likely and as per usual pretty costly

Mmm hoping not Ill look on the net see if there is a brake booster test I can do, I have genuine one way valve and forgot to mention brand new braided lines on all four, I went little crazy with braided lines including the clutch line lol. But anyways hopefully it's not to major but well we will see. I believe might be brake booster aswell due to I found the one way valve missing a little chunk out of it. It was rubbish plastic centre, so I made sure when ford handed me new one was better so its metal one now

To test dodgy brake boosters I normally clamp off all brake lines at te calipers then with the car off see what the brakes are like first pump. If the pedal is good then it's a fault elsewhere if the pedal is sh*t then it's the booster.

But a lot of other variables come into play though with newer model cars, abs etc etc
