I "think" it's to limit tourque on hard shifts. I took it to tuner and explained that it very laggy between gear shifts and he took out all possible "tourque truncations" as he put it.

I'm not saying you or your tuner is wrong. But how could you tune something mechanical. The only input the PCM has gearbox related is the clutch switch and as far as I'm aware the only purpose of that is for cruise control and the reverse lockout.

Is there some kind of torque limit when the clutch is depressed? could be. I don't know what the need for that would be since you are off throttle anyway.

But I am ready to be enlightened.

edit: are you talking about a torque limit in the tune at WOT after the shift?

I'm not sure on exactly what He changed as He Did it quite quickly. He said he disabled Any possible torque limiting functions out of the tune. Whether it was WOT just after gear change, I'm not sure. Tuner has a good Rep and I trust that He would know what He is talking about.

The car is going in for e85 tune shortly so it will all get double checked when getting tuned.

I looked into this a while ago, as I have 360rwkw and have a best mph of 112mph. Still can't work out what's going on, I have taken it back to tuner and removed all tourque limits. Haven't gone back to the drags since but doubt it will make a difference as the car doesn't feel much better on gear changes.

I would say my car should run close to 120mph in manual.

I ran 120mph with the same power ..
