When you turn the key on it starts and when you let go of the key it springs back and stops. I have read on the net that it is ignition switch problem and that you need to replace the whole steering column with ignition switch assembly(it is very common with BA's??). I got a quote for the part from Ford and they want around $1200- I'm not exactly thrilled with this.Anyhow, I want to remove it myself and have a look if I can fix it. Here is where I would love some help from fellow enthusiasts, does anyone have a step by step guide on how to remove the steering column/ignition switch assembly?? Also if anyone knows some cheaper solutions to fix the problem and save me from forking out all that money.Any advice would be greatly appreciated.Cheers. Try a wrecker will be cheaper but with that it might happen again at any time.
