Steve ,the plan is as follows, get the 5" high flow 100 cell cat installed (bought as part of a group buy on another forum), then get a stage 2 process west I/C, ID 1000 injectors, Xcal 3 and tune. Rob is going to install the Earl inline oil filter for me as well.

With those mods I am hoping to get into the 300 killerwasps club.

Rob has the Aeroflow short shifters shown on their facebook page. I asked Rob about it and he gave me a special price which I could not resist. At that price fitted, I was all thumbs up. :)

Car still going very well... Battery is deciding to let me down now, so I've ordered a new Optima red top.. shipped to me from east for 235!! cheap!

turbo noise is addictive.

highway driving is amusing when overtaking with a heavy foot.

So the battery went in without a hitch... kind of... it didnt fit into the std battery box, so I removed the box and sat the battery on the tray itself. This lowered the battery, so I modified the hold down clamp to gain sufficient purchase on the battery. Great starting now!!

Bought and fitted a short shifter... parked the ute with two wheels on the kerb and just slid under it and went to work. Took about an hour start to finish.. set up the shifter stops and all back together, its a very positive feeling. I'm thinking about bolting up the rubber isolater on the stock shifter lever just for a more mechanical feel. the 2nd to 3rd shift now is a good thing.

New tyres went on finally, KU31 Kumho's in 275/35-19 very happy so far, they've got a firm grip on the road... kinds wish I had bald tyres again though... nothing says horsepower like bald tyres.

Spoke with Rob and Darren at Monsta Torque again and the long and short of it is.. I'm going to get valve springs in the early part of the new year.

Cheers

Fark that is going to be some coinage just there for springs. I was lucky that I did not have any floating happening.

That doesn't mean that it wont happen in the future, but when it does I hope it is in a couple of years though. that way I can get a new biger turbo, exhaust and get the springs done as well.

;)

Hopefully all goes well for you.

Springs are in hand and are soon off to be treated before being installed.

Yeah, I'm also very keen to see what will be picked up after they're fitted...

CLUTCH..... yeah, so it flares now in 5th (as it has for a while) when being unkind to it. I've been talking to a company in the US about a twin plate setup, that's infinitely rebuildable, with an alloy flywheel... about 12kg all up I think... good for 1200ftlbish I believe.. reasonably cost efficient too...

NEW BITS:

Earls oil feed kit for turbo

SS inductions triple gauge panel

Where to go to from here............

lol.. got the twin dw300 kit.

bring on thursday! springs and 98 tune

friday... E85 tune!!!

The new PW surge is a big unit and with the new fuel reg on it, is quite a tight fit. There's definitely more pump noise than the single walbro 400 in my old setup.

Made my own wiring loom, hid the relays and fuses... the engine bay still looks stock. WINNING
