Piping kit is pretty straight forward to fit with basic tools. -HOWEVER- ... My piping kit has now sold to another forum member.

Dyno'd the ute last Wednesday, at monsta torque

Pulled 291kw/390hp at the wheels and 709Nm/522ftlb torque.. Stock ( intake muffler delete and K and N filter were installed )

Big thanks to Rob for the time he's taken so far chewing the fat with me about work planned, best practices, lessons learned and the availability of the dyno at such short notice.

Planning on installing the new PW cooler and pipes tonight.

serviced the ute again the other day, spending has slowed due to buying another house...

I have however been putting in some serious research into surge tanks and pump options.

I like the look of the older style PW/PLAZ type... but they rarely come up used and if they do

they hold their value very well.. The new PW surge tanks look unreal, they're a big credit to

the boys at Process West.

I am still quite drawn to the radium engineering

https://radiumauto.com type setup... even though you never see it, it just appeals to me.

the new cooler (PW2) seems to make the ute a little laggy, but I'm putting that down to pipe

volume and IC volume..

I did put a leak down test on the system and it yeilded nothing sinister so I'm happy.

On a cold morning with a little moisture in the air, the turbo gets a great spool noise on.

To Do:

Surge tank

Turbo Mod

fit injectors,

exhaust

actuator

cheers

XFT are a great bunch, I have had some mates who've had work done by them and they're more than happy which is great. They're about 20km from home and a very good option for the tuning.

Monsta Torque are very local to me, I have spent some time chewing the fat with Rob and they have also got some very tough, reliable cars out there as do a lot of places.

I'd be keen to hear from perth based people who have genuine Pro's and Con's for each. Nothing stupid like " I wanted 600hp and wanted to spend $500 they wouldnt help".

I am keen on doing a lot of the work myself and I can tow it into malaga in about 10 minutes... towing over to midvale is going to be another cost.

I know building cars/vehicles into the performance level I am after will not be a cheap exercise and I'm not scrimping on costs, I'm just being realistic with my expenditure where I do and do not have to spend money to excess.

I am a mechanic by trade, an actual one with all the certs and the lost 4 years of my life where I earned less than the dole. I am also an avid enthusiast like many of the other forum users.

Like I said above, genuine feedback from perth based members, be it a pro or a con would be appreciated.

cheers
