Hi all,

Just purchased a BA xr6t 5 speed today.

Driving it home on the freeway I notice that in 4th gear the rpm is just under 3000. In 5th it dropped to a little over 2000.

Is this normal? Or has the diff ratio been moddified? Is the standard ratio 3.45

I have tried searching the forum but I cant find the gear ratios for the 5 speed, can anybody point me in the right direction.

Regards

Cameron02

you should mention what size tyres your car has on it.

secondly, why did you buy a 5 speed? didn't you do some research?

Same thing here mate when I bought mine 4 yrs back only had the cash to get a BA 4 spd straight after my first round of mods (valve springs, port and flapper,4 dump, hi flow cat, intake, injectors, edit) made 304 rwkw within a month started passing boost thru the pistons and was killing 4 spds left right and centre took 6 builds to get one right an then the ba block started to pressurise the head welch's gave way lucky I was right place right time and picked up a BF turbo 2007 long motor with 40,000 for a good price so keep that in mind if you want to do a few mods get abit of power it's easier to get a BF then pump the money you have to into the BA's to get them up them up there

Don't get the wrong idea the BA's are a good car but they don't like to be boosted so enjoy it for what it is it will still get up on the Expensive Daewoo 8's thru the mid save your money for the next upgrade good luck bud
