The Expensive Daewoo 5.7-6.2 are very very lazy down low but the electronics in the vehicle controlling torque management etc really holds them back massively they are restricted to the point there barely functional !. VE's suffer hugely from being over weight but the earlier 5.7L-6L VT-VZ will still do a 12.60 1/4 with basic tune and exhaust. Once you add a stall convertor and get the operating range where they work best they do become a lot less lazy off the line and work pretty hard. Most baby cammed Lsx bases will average between 370-450rwhp.But yes in stock form the holdens have no bragging rights or sales pitches. But with the help of a few changes in Ecu there not complete donkeys.

I had a vx ss with twin turbos on that made 560rwhp on 7 psi and 2400 foot lb, They certainly can be made to go very very fast but as said it comes at a price when compared to turbo falcons.
