Gday all,

Im planning on getting some more work done to the FG! with the turbo side of things Rob from monsta torque has suggested a 66 and .7 front cover turbo and to be honest I have no idea what this mean!

Iv tried to use the search but it wont let me use anything that has 2 letters in it.

Also has anyone else had this done to their car and what power was you getting?

Thanks,

Jacob

66mm front wheel, the std gt3582 turbo has a 62mm wheel, and the 0.7 is the front housing, they come 0.5 standard.

There are very good gains going this way, all depends how much power do you want.

CHLAXN on here had the turbo you described on his FG. Went to the GTX3582R and was an improvement.

Everyone loves the Gtx as you can see. It has the bigger front wheel and front cover as you mentioned, it is more beneficial going the gtx as it has a billet wheel and is a new design in Garrett turbochargers. It will outperform the setup that Rob has put forward to you.You can buy them for 1580 through one of the guys on here.

I'd prefer xtreme ford tuning out of the 2 major tuners over there.

I would love to see the difference on my ute, I'm still stuck with the factory turbo.

GTX flows about roughly 20 horsepower more air and will be less laggy, it will also make more power per psi as it absorbs less power to run it, it will also not heat up the intake charge as much
