For the expriences engine bulder or someone who knows lots.. Some how I mixed the cam caps on my new head. Is there anyway to identify which side went where?

Unfortunately I think the two sides are identical, so no way to tell if you didn't mark them before they were removed.

Thanks mate!

bionicxr6t05 is right, I didn't realize this, so checked my spare engine, and there are the mentioned cutouts on the outside of both rear cam guides, and on the outside of the right front cam guide (see photo).

Sorry for giving you a fright, but I always mark mine, so never had the issue. :scare:

Thanks Ninka, normally I would mark them but this head was a spare at a mates workshop and I got him to send it out for me I assumed he would of marked it. The photo reflects what the manual indicates as well. Much appreciated guys.

Front long bolts = 13 Nm rest 10 Nm

If you go much over this you will strip the threads, as they are 6 mm into aluminium.

Ensure you apply threadlocker to short bolts.

CORRECTION

All bolts = 10 Nm

If you go much over this you will strip the threads, as they are 6 mm into aluminium.

No need to apply threadlocker to any of the bolts.
