yes I would expect those marks to have pretty much gone by now considering the mileage on this car, but do not understand why there is a carbonised piston still in the no 2 bore which also looks like it has been honed

I find it interesting that you charge your dyno out at an hourly rate mick..

Most mobs I've ever spoken to charge a flat rate.. $X for a tune, $X for a major mods retune, $X for minor mods retune.. Sometimes I wish I lived in victoria..

Then the sun comes out..

We charge a fixed figure for tuning, but any tough up tunes are charged by the hour up to the point of a full tune price

checking and adjusting the tune to the same boost level may only take up to a couple of hours considering compression may be slightly differnt etc, but chasing more power can start to get a little time consuming

Short block is just the bare block with all internal parts but you will need all your externals of your old block (Balancer, Water pump, Pulleys, Flywheel etc.)You may have to swap sumps too (not sure on this) as the BF has an external oil cooler whereas the BA doesn't.

It would be wise to run it in on around 6-8psi for the first 3000k's.

yes you will need to run this engine in and change oil and filter before giving at hard time.

The tune will be fine if you keep it off boost, use the valet tune you were given and that will stop any accidental boosting
