Nothing wrong with a btr that has been rebuilt by a knowledgable shop!

Bayswaters autos hands down the best he knows a 4 spd and I would recommend him to anyone

Had 4 boxes and had them each rebuilt by 3 different reputable shops an when one issue was fixed another would arise then went to Bayswater and she holds together when you smash 2nd into third skating and no flaring top bloke

I will chat with the fella about this,I understand what you are saying but I thought my results/word would be enough for trialing,I am not use to being called a bull chit artist from many like when the thread started, its how I felt anyway....over it now, went to Bunnings, got some wood and built a bridge.

What area do you feel the dominator converter could do better for you or improve, what parts of this new BTR converter have caught your eye.Give me some info please lol.

I will shed some light on the subject, Chris approched me a few years ago about his venture in desigining a converter to produce more tourque and economy and I said good luck. Anyway he did a run on the dyno as a base run with a Toyota Lexcen aka VN V6 Commodore, as time passed he came back for more runs and finally got one to work with great results much to my suprise (takes a lot to convince me) so he said he wanted to do a Ford one, once again I said good luck. So after three years of a lot of trialing and a lot of crap from me aswell I might add, I think he has finaly got something that is worthy of a result (it still needs more testing for reliablity etc).

So in saying all that I think we need to give him a go and wait and see how it goes because I can tell you he has copped enough sh*t from me over time about the R & D

not going so well and he has spent thousands of $ on all the R & D so far, not to mention countless labour hours.

Regards Bruce

So what is the price of this converter, did I see $1600 somewhere. Usually when a new product comes out, it is priced at less than what the competitors are pricing their products at to get a foot in the door. He would be better off selling a few off at cost price (ignoring R&D cost) and if there is favourable independent feedback then he could start charging a realistic premium for the product.

Mate I'm not doubting your opinion on this box. It's just I couldn't BUY a product for my car (which I value) , with only 2 reviews/opinions. One is the creator(bias) and one is the "friend".

I'm am skeptical. Anyone with half a brain should an would be. Just accept that people aren't going to fork out cash with so little "security" incase things go pear shaped. More cars and R&d are required before people shift from dominator and the like.

R&d, test cars etc are where all the $$ goes. It's why shops charge so much for parts that people say are "overpriced". So keep the info coming and keep sharing. But stop thinking we are out to get you. Please!

No offence to Karl but I had never met him before in my life untill Bruce gave me his contact details as a good person to get the converter into his car to run it at the drags to see what it could do with 300kw infront of it. so friends we wern't. Karl is an inderpendent valadation. we had not had the Super Charged Torque Converter in any other car but a stock EL beforehand, Bruce Heinrich dynoed and test drove it and was impressed, that is how all this has come about. Bruce is a hard task Master he loves GRUNT as anyone who knows him knows, He's not easily impressed :)

As far as the quality goes , I am the one doing the mod's and I can't see any reson why my workmanship should be douted. I don't want my converters to fail I'll be building them and my reputation is on the line.

Thanks.

Get more cars on the road so we get DIFFERENT opinions from NEUTRAL people. It's what all good shops and parts suppliers do. That's what the market always demands. Its also what sorts the gimmicks from the real deal. It's expensive, but it's a fact of the performance industry.

What youve shared so far is very promising. I'm watching with interested.

One question I can think of right now that doesn't require much $$ to show results is trans oil temps.

Would love to know what the temps are like with this convertor.

Q., How do I get netural opinions from others if you not willing to give it a go and be happy you did?

Trans temps apear normal acording to the temp gauge.

Cheers Bruce for posting here, Much appreciated.

Chris.

I'd say your a bit off here, most new to the market products are at a high price and come down in time. take flat screen tv's or Dyson vaccume cleaners for example.

The product will stand on it's own feet, you have heard inderpendant valadation (Karl , Bruce) you need to add your names to the list of wrapped enthusiastic adrelinen pumped speed freaks. (happy customers)

$1600 is a fare price , especally since it will save you money in fuel ...as well as boost performance.

the only way you will realy know for your self is to try it out.

Cheers

Chris.

I understand where your coming from... but do you think that Dyson and samsung only had 2 test vacuums and tv's before they put their revolutionary products out on the market for big $$$?

converters aren't exactly known for economy gains... hence why you need to show some hard evidence. spread sheets before and afters on fuel distance to empty and odometer readings... anything hard and factual to back up your claim would really help your cause. people tend to not believe things until it's front of their eyes and some people have been bitten before... so hard evidence is a real necessity.

I'm sure this product is the real deal but if ya put some things on paper it might help sway the mases

Sorry that was a sales pitch yes? Not bias at all !!

My comments still stand. Please don't take me the wrong way. But I think anyone with half a brain would be smart to wait until more cars are on the road with the convertors with more 1/4 times, mileage results, temps readings, long term effects on wear? Etc etc are provided.

Nobody is forcing anyone to buy one are they....lets get this straight. The option to buy one is here though but if you don't want to atm or ever then that's fine.If you wan't to wait and see the results then wait, until then unless you have something else to add that's different from other point of views previously voiced then please with the upmost politeness reframe from posting.

as much as I love the product deep down I am still not sold myself, realiability is the upmost of importance for me.

I am off to like some posts....

Just briefly,my kms have improved(wont change unless something else makes it),1/4 mile times improved in worse conditions(weather bad and trans slipping). This week I will log temps and if that looks good then all that needs to be done is for everyone to wait.

just thought I would nutshell where I am at.
