What is your take off technique. Is it just stalling off from 1st or doing the stalling in 2nd then shift to 1st to take off. Also what tyres were you running?

This teq was done back in the day when the zf first came out to "fool" the zf into a coupla hundred extra rpm on launch and only a few could get it right

This thread is about the BTR can't select 2nd for take off !!

Can you do that on the 4 speeds???

How much boost and power was used to get the 1.70 60ft in your signature. Was it on E85 and did it have a built trans and stall converter?

Just trying to compare my 1.62 using 350rwkw,std trans/stall speed and pump fuel.

Ahhh yeah not the best to compare to a ute as they have a small disadvantage on launch over us IRS sedans.

I just thought I would ask as you seem to be getting the most out of your power,no point comparing to someone who cant drive lol.

Yeh I was doing 1.62 before that run, as power increased the 60ft were effected, that's why I went with the full slicks, the ute couldn't get off the line anymore when I was pushing 400.

It went 10.86 with a 1.78 60ft. After that I put the slicks on and went 1.58 at Heathcote and then 1.48 at Calder .

I have alot more consistency now with my times, before it was a hit and miss and a waste of time.

Hey gilly u had your flash new m/t's on yesterday why didnt u give it a massive stall and go for gold for a kick arse 60 at least ?

What was the reason for the low psi launch?

I know last time u had to limit the psi cause u were on radials but this time everything for a big psi launch was set !

I have never done this before but I might just try and crack a deal with a trans guy, don't know if I can wait till mid next year and make you's wait for that matter. This converter needs to be in a proper box and not tested half arsed at the track. What I have is fine for daily but that's about it.

I needed to keep the psi launch the same for testing data,I also had my MT's on last meeting.I was going to do a big stall but just didn't puck up the balls to do so.When I ran the 1.62 she felt like she slipped on the 1-2 so maybe holding her on boost a little longer to cut a good light caused this. When I did the 1.6 the light was a 570.The trans was just not like she was last meeting so this basically made the decision for me.

Yesterday was about the converter so I had to keep it real so to speak.Hows this,my MT's are over 7 years old and are "blemished items".So,how long are MT's supposed to last, these launch without even seeing smoke in the burnout.

I used to get about 15 passes on my radials but with a 5-7 secs burnout.

Great job on that 60ft with a std stall convertor. 1.9 was all I could get with the std stall 5 yrs ago
