I currently use standard territory 17" steel rims at the drags with cheap 245/45 tyres. I think that I have found their limit and need a better tyre or perhaps tyre/rim combo. Would a 275/40 on the territory steelie, which I believe is 17*7.5 36.5P, fit on the rear of a BA without scrubbing?I do run adjustable konis on the rear which are set for quick compress slow rebound. Mickey Thompson tyres - does anyone other than VPW sell them in Melbourne? How much would I benefit by switching to a standard 17*8 alloy from the territory steel rim in regards to weight? As always, any help is appreciated. Justa6 Member 214 Member For: 15y 6m 4d Posted 05/12/12 06:47 AM Share Posted 05/12/12 06:47 AM (edited) Well if you compare it to a standard xr 17" which is 8" +36. You'll be 6mm closer to the guard from offset and 12mm closer from the width. With a nice fat 275 and18mm further out , it wouldn't want to be lowered.
