I thought I'd start a thread on pets and see what everyone has. I have 2 dogs Kial and Sophie. Kial(left in photo) is a Kelpie cross and Sophie is a Great Dane cross Labradore. They are like chalk and cheese as far as character goes but they are great dogs and are always cracking us up with some of the stuff they do. They aren't perfect though, they like to destroy backyards. Anyone need a backyard de-blitzed? Give me a call.

Rob

This is Buddy.

He spends his time in his massive indoor cage when we are not home, ripping apart his perches and ladders, destroying them with his beak, and then when we let him out after work he does the same to our furniture.

He eats anything, and I mean anything including human skin with the ocassional blood seasoning. I don't dare pat him.

He will only drink two things though, Mt Franklin water from his water bowl and Diet Coke from some ones glass.

He sticks his head in our glasses on the dinner table and helps himself to a nice cold fizzy drink..

He likes making noises like a phone ringing, and the answering it. Saying "ti si gadan" meaning you are ugly (seems to be his faviourite), he gives kisses when you say "gimme kiss"

Sometime he says "gimme kiss *MWAH* good boy"

He's picked up what we say around the house, when I call my dad, mum, wife, brother in law... "DAD MUM MILE MRAN IVAN"

When he see's something new he always says "whats that"

When you do something he doesn't like he screams out "NE" which means No.

Heaps of other stuff, he's a barrell full of laughs :D

We don't want you posting any "pet porn" pics like you were showing me and Mick yesterday

You know Ross, the disk with that file on it went missing yesterday. And you were at my house yesterday. Hmmmmmmmmm

Well...we've got chooks, ducks and a rooster.....the chooks just lay eggs...eat the cat food and sit under the sprinkler on hot days...the ducks just screw all day..that's about it for them...what a life!! and the rooster makes a half garbled screech noise...cause a fox got to it. The rooster is also ferral....it'll charge at you..peck you...and run off. One day it charged me....I was running....the rooster in full pelt after me....I got a shovel...pelted it over the head...knoked it to the ground....it lay there for a few seconds....got up..and started charging at me again!! :kissmy: ...so I hit it again...it fell to the ground...and stayed there....it got up a few minutes later and wandered back to the chook shed. I know that sounds cruel...but if its gunna charge at me I gotta defend myself!

We've got a dog called Yeeha who got his name after we clocked him running 45k's an hour in the car. Hes also got a few queue words....if u shout "GO GET EM!!!" he'll bound off in what ever direction he chooses and run straight for about 10 seonds...then explode in a fit of barking...if u shout it again...he does it again HA!!! theres also "STAY!" and he'll close his mouth and sit there like a statue...dead serious...he's dead still....wont move a muscle! I dunno where he got these traits from though....something he just does. He also sleeps inside every night next to the couch in his little special corner....he'll sit at the loungeroom window and whimper until we let him in....sook...

He also likes to chase Kangaroos and Emu's in the paddocks...if we're in the car and he can see them out the window..he'll start to wimper....dad'll stop the car.....if the window's open...he'll jump out the window ...regardless of speed....hit the ground and will roll it out until he stops and can then begin to run after them....funny dog!

What's even funnier is then the wheat is really high...he'll bound off..run in the ggeneral diretion....when you'll see him jump up a few times so he can see where the emu's are...he'll runa bit longer....jump...run...u get the idea....hilarious to watch!!!

Plus the 6 cats - Simba - grandpa kitty who's more like a wombat in size. But so beautiful by nature. One year one of the other cats had a litter and couldnt be bothered looking after them....so Simba stepped in and looked after them......weird cause he'l a male cat...but the mother came back only for feeding...all the rest was upto Simba....what a champ!!!

Woody, the mother of all...who is getting a bit senile in her old age....she'll just have spirts where she'll be sleeping....then goes and runs up a tree...then look down and meow until someone gets her down....hmmmm

She also keeps all the other cats in line by walking friendly upto them....whacking them over the head and giving them the message that she's boss and then walk off...hehe

Mischief.....well....acts like a princess - fussy as hell with her food....but when the sun goes down....watch out!!!

Kes - she doesnt do much except walk around, sleep and eat.

Neelix - obcessed ...and I mean obcessed..with getting cuddles...he'll walk upto u....claw you to sit down....he'll then jump on your lap and demand cuddles. If you do nothing he goes mental and brings out the claws and gives u a quick whip across the face....then u start the cuddles and all is well...

Tango - much the same as Kes - a normal cat

We've also got what we call a stealth cat....we only see it at night...it hides out in the back garden...if you walk to close it'll bound out into the wheat or up the back to the sheering shed....we know its black....small...and fast.

There's also the 2 swallows that have build their nest under the viranda and have been there before we moved there 10 years ago! Each year they build a new nest....and the cats sit right under the nest and wait for it to colllapse so they can pounce on the little chichs in the nest.....not good I know but the swallows keep coming back....

OH!! theres also the Magpie with the broken leg.....it just hobbles around and when the cats attack it...it just flaps its wings and pecks the cats until they give up...or it scrounges up some energy and flies to a nearby tree....where it sits...crooked...on a branch.

that's about it for me....now that I read it...it sounds pretty harsh....but all the animals get along really well...they hardly ever fight...its mainly with us that they have issues.....meh....I'll take some photo's when I get bak to the farm and post here.

Hapy driving ppl.....and yes...I'm still waiting for my T!!! ARGH..the wait is killing me!!!
