Got a couple I would love an opinion on.  

 

There's this 04 ba xr6T auto.  I've checked it out and driven it  and it's in great nick, low kms and not a bad price etc. (I know 4 speed though) but I've talked it down to 7.5k including ct 3 flasher which is solid I think.

Could it be worth getting this and spending about 3k for power and/or manual conversion available in Adelaide?

That BA is tidy besides the horrendous wheels. 

You're saving about $600 if it comes with the xcal3 already but @JETURBO tunes with HP so you don't need it anyway if you choose to get him to do any tuning for you, which everyone will tell you to do and rightly so. So you could sell it and put it towards a new dump pipe. 

The price is high but even with low km's. 

 

That BF is a dump. The description is full of lies. I own an ex hwy car from nsw and I'll tell you now the suspension is farked. If he hasn't changed it all out since buying it, the shocks will be cactus and most likely diff bushes. Mine are in good nick. But I suspect they've been changed as I've got 100k more km on mine. 

Also they're not chipped. Only old bogan c*nts think they're chipped like they're bt1 Vn bombadores. 

Have a look at my thread on my car. I paid $6k for it. Probably a grand too much and it's heaps tidier than that bf2.

Pass on both mate, honestly dont bother with BA with BTR 4sp auto or T5 manual... 

I knew fark all about these cars a yr ago and went out to buy a cheap daily work ute and got a very clean BA auto with full service history as company car before I got it.

Paid 7k for it and im now over 50k in modding it.

Engine blew up at 300rwkw and auto was slipping hard.

 

What iver leant is the BA is shight and as ive said from the start not worth looking at. 

Honestly look at nothing less then 06/06 or 07 model BFs

yeah as already posted above, avoid both. BA is ok though I wouldnt be paying more than 6 for it. 4spd is a no no as you will use fuel like no tomorrow if your doing daily duties.

 

what is your budget? remember cash talks so look at higher prices

If u can get that for 11k jump on it!!!!!!!!!! 

 

Then save for a few months to get around 3k in your pocket and go see jet for some upgrades.... takes fark all to get a FG moving.

How far is the vic car from u? id drive down and get it myself if under 1000km each way. then rego wont be much more then normal rego... just blue slip and new plates and your away and driving.

its not bad but looking at the pics there are a few things id be concerned about.

 

firstly you can see its had a hard life and likely driven hard everyday

secondly hasn't been looked after, oil on the rocker cover usually is signs of top ups but not proper services which would lead me to believe other things are going to need work, especially suspension.

needs rego also which may be an issue (not sure how it works down that way with inspections etc)

 

to me that car gives a bad vibe, but in the end you need to find whats best for you.
