Man don't be telling us that :P

2007 BF MKII, about 435rwhp since 100,000km. Owned since 37,000km/1 year old, first owner WA police.

Front wheel bearings seem to come up every 100,000km for me. I do love to smash the bends though. Probably bought the wrong car for that but maybe that's why I enjoy it so much :)

None of the ancillaries like power steering/alternator have died yet thankfully! Gearbox wore out (slipping under power) over time due to the power being used daily so I recently had it rebuilt to far stronger specs. Bushes/balljoints are my enemy though, always replacing them. Again, the hard cornering probably doesn't help.

Like the others warned, any car at this level of km is a concern. Shop around and if it's cheap, go for it! Lower km is likely to be better though...but never can tell.

I'd happily buy my own car from myself if I was selling, but I'm the only person I'd sell it to anyway :)

Hey guys, just putting it out there as it seems like a pretty good package for the $

Please view this ad:

xr6 turbo ute,

http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/maggea/cars-vans-utes/xr6-turbo-ute/1042053443

Price: $ 17,000.00

Download the application from the Google Play Store.

Things that I notice straight away that have me curious:

-Fpv front bar, xr8 bonnet....possible front end smash?

-Fpv dash....possibly not genuine kms?

- Obviously not factory 6 speed....Will it matter with rego/rwc etc?

-Brakes are high end....are they exxy to maintain?

-Built motor....what should I ask him (it'd be my first xr6t)

- Not an issue but lol @ the r34 GTR rims! Obviously a cheap way to get forged rims that clear the brakes, looks awesome imo.

Any feedback would be great! Cheers sw

As is very offen the case, if the car has been built with respect , as a long term keeper, than there will be real savings to had for the buyer / purchaser. However, if it been slapped together and is on the verge of failuring big time , what may seem as a great buy will quickly turn into a night mare .

If you have questions, and it is clear you have , and good reason too, unless the reply is pausible and in line with what you would expect , then stay well clear. If it then passes the honesty check , then proceed to have the car checked by someone in the know and whom you trust before shelling out your hard earned. Good luck

Ask the seller to send you some detail pics of the rear suspension. I'd wager dollars to doughnuts thats the old Nizpro ute. (which is a total bargain at that price)
