Hey everyone, first time I have posted here.. Hopeful purchasing myself a 07 bf mk11 ute bionic blue, 88000kms very clean, completely standard, which is what I want.. I believe they have plenty of power standard.. Enough to loose your licence. Just woundering if its worth getting a compression test a pressure test..? And any other little things I should look for, apart from the obvious things.. Plus when I was taking it for a test drive, when going around corners just slowly like 40-50kms, u could hear like a binding rubbing sort of noise coming from what I think to be the front suspension or maybe some panels at the front end rubbing or stretching, hard to explain.. Also like the noise was similar to the hard lid on the back of the ute rubbing and biding on tray, when the body of the vehicle was flexing and body rolling.. Might just me being paranoid, I'm pretty picky, still a lot of money in the ute.. Don't want any problems.. And I'd like to know how to disconnect the bov to atmosphere.. Thanks.. And I went auto, always kinda want manual, but that box changes so quick by its self, plus the misses can drive it.

If you're worried about it best thing would be to take it to a good garage. What state are you in? I know here in Victoria, Mick at Pitlane has quite a few different types of pre-purchase car inspections.

IMHO it's well worth the initial investment as not only can you avoid a thrashed car but you may be able to bargain with the bloke on price if you have a list of faults. Things like the ZF auto milk shaking or a car being put back to stock aren't always visible with the naked eye.

BF XR6 Turbo, manual, 185,000kms, $12.5k

Last 100,000 kms were done in 4 years with him driving ~100kms to work everyday so I'm not massively fussed about the kms. He said he has only one other caller in the last 6 months so I am considering low balling him $10-11k to see if he will take it.

What do you guys think price wise? I am looking to mod it to ~300rwkw so perferably find an example with mods already or mod it myself.

I was after 300rwkw as my target over the next 3 months but now im doubting it if everyones saying they cant handle more power. do you think it will be able to handle the extra power?

im shattered but somehow always do this to myself by not researching and jumping into things I know nothing about. now im in mixed minds already whether to sell it stock as I bought it and try find a 6 speed because I cant afford to spend 3-4 g's on performance upgrades then deal with the gear box when I have no money left, and by that stage of rebuilding the box I would have spend alot more than just upgrading to a mkII or bf.

also im from Melbourne northern suburbs, any one know a good workshop or tuner?
