Hey fellas I will be at Sydney dragway on Saturday with hopefully my new 90/10 Koni shocks I hope to get alot of valuable data of racing in the heat as the weather is saying its going to be 32 degree c. On a 32 degree day my intake temps get up to 48 degree c from the wait of the staging lanes stop starting after a run my intake temps generally go up 2 degrees I think I might buy 10 gel bags and stick them in the esky full of ice after every run sit the gel bags on the intake manifold does anyone else think the alloy intake manifold generates to much heat from the engine.

Mine runs the same time wether it's heat soaked or not... Drove in peak hr for over an hr to the track and raced after 30mins .10.45

Went 10.44 later in the night whilst the car sat for over an hr in 12c temps.

Do you think it could be fuel trim tables I really need to understand more about my tune it goes so much better when my intake temps at 30 degree c I think I will talk to joe at cms to check my tune if my car goes off again

Yeh in 38c heat I went one tenth slower , my fuel is e85, so maybe we can't compare as we are using different fuel.

I think bp ultimate 98 is the problem because e85 will be cooling everything while its idleing I think I would need another pump to run e85 I don't reckon a warlbro in tank and Siemens 60s could handle it

just a update ill be at the track this saturday repersenting the falcon banner I put my new set of 90/10 koni shocks in today thanks to senna for hooking me up with them, they went in fairly easy hopefully get some more 11.2s and better weight transfer then what my 190000 k standard shocks produce. if any members are coming down to the track feel free to come over for a chat I will be on the return road.

big thanks to senna/pat and wholesale suspension

Your car will never go as good as it gets warmer, no matter what fuel you use, a turbo car loves cold dry air.

As the air temp rises the air expands reducing the amount being sucked/forced in.

E85 helps with cooling but its not going to change the outside air.

I have noticed even on E85 as the ambient temp comes down the car feels much stronger.

I'm going to try and get out there on Saturday Chris, hopefully I can make it and I'll have a look at how the car is running :spoton:
