I really want big brakes but would love to keep the standard look of my car

You've done a great job at selecting your parts.Do you know if your brake kit fits under the factory Ford 19 in wheels?Cheers,Benny.

I haven't fitted my factory 19's back on to test so please dont take this as gospel. If your referring to the XR option 19's then I would think not. You might get away with the front but the rears would be too large. Compared to the factory Brembo 6/4 setup the Harrops have more caliper clearance on the front (narrower caliper) and less on the back (wider caliper).CheersPaul

Benny Member 1,869 Member For: 21y 5m 19d Gender: Male Location: Newcastle Posted 21/04/13 09:35 AM Share Posted 21/04/13 09:35 AM Thanks. I was wondering if my factory GT wheels would fit over them. Even though I don't have them on my car at this stage if I got these I'd still want to have the option of putting the stock wheels back on. Might be better if they don't, might save me some money, lolBenny.

He quoted a figure close to what was mentioned here, but that's a large sum of money, so need to look at alternatives I think (I can get a full set of Alcon but that's going to be around five grand as well). The Harrops look fantastic, and from what I've heard really do thier job, so well done on the upgrade. I have dallar 5's as well in 20/10, you said you had to space the rear to get them to fit, was it worth the hastle and how did you go about it? Would appreciate any info, cheers

When fitting the Dalars on the rear of mine I used a 3mm spacer to allow the caliper to clear. These can be purchased at most auto part or wheel stores for very little money. I've since replaced my wheels so no longer need to run any spacers in the rear. Hope this helps.
