Just recently I noticed that I had some slight shudder at ~80kms. I pulled over at the servo and checked my tyres, at this point I found some slight bubbles on the outside edge of my front drivers rim. Long story short, went into Blairs Tyres and got the front tyres replaced. What shocked us though was the damage on the other side. See the picture below. The damage continued around half the tyre.

This is a 245/30R20 Achilles Tyre.

Yeah definitely a worry when these tyres are rapidly growing in popularity..

I should clarify that Achilles have a very strong sidewall however when I said weak it meant weak points which is usually a manufacturing defect.

^ Appropriate lol. What tyre pressures were you running? Could this be a factor in the tyre wall getting damaged. Given the achilles have a high treadwear gets me a bit worried that the longer you have the tyres on the more chance of stuff like this happening..

Is there any sort of warranty for things like this?
