If my car farts or coughs in the wrong way I'm in contact with my tuner... not the internet to answer my questions. A mate is having a similar problem he has lost the flutter noise and now only hears a sneeze non bov type noise. Car dosn't boost up hard any more and runs 300+rwkw. The car still gets going but doesn't go as it used to.. Basically it comes on the boost real slow past 4k rpm and only runs about 8psi aswell. So I'd say he replaced it. I'd say your mate has a boost leak somewhere.
