I've never said there should be no SUV's, or 4X$. Buy one if you need one. I used to use the good old trailer for the hard work. My point is many buy them and don't use them for what they were intended. Like owning a 6T and not doing track days!!!!!!

I've never worked out limited eddition marketing or whatever you call it. It seems to be, and they state , that they need to keep certain cars to certain price brackets and that's why they limit inclusions on some models. I really don't believe that. I told my dealer that because Ford have not put a DSG gearbox in the Focus ST they are forcing me into Renault or Merc for a hot hatch. Can't work it out. I told them I would pay more money, but I wanted a DSG gearbox!

The RS was a weapn and they should have brought more here. I actually think it was overpriced, but I don't think they had trouble selling them all. Getting parts might be a problem later though. But all the manufacturers make similar stupid decisions.

Mates gf has a new golf gti and it has more rattles than his yr old Bogan special , so much for vw build quality, and it was manufactured in Germany. It also dropped all its oil by 12,000kms and the turbo lag drives him nuts at traffic lights and taking off. One car isn't enough to guage a whole range but its enough to turn ppl off, any car can have problems though.

I think it'll partly be nostalgia that everyone will be sad that the falcon isn't made in Australia, we all grew up with it and its familiar.

Manufactures are constantly testing the market - delivering - attempting too ??? - what the mass's 're seeking - yet , whether the model be found in UK, New Zealand or Asia Pacific - it continues to astound me that once they find a car for the people - they then refuse to delivery it ??? The Ford RS would have smashed sales in Aust - taking all before it .

Having driven with the XR5 , and the Focus RS and recently the Focus ST - it remains a mystery why they have allow us the ST - yet withheld the RS - the RS with its wide body , rear wing and wide rear end - was somehting straight out of the forests of Turkey in the World Rally Championship .

Subaru appear to have learned from their involvement with World Rally - why hasn't Ford ???
