Although they 're fun to drive and frugal/thrifty on the wallet - they no way produce the smile of the F6 or current GT335 .Having recently sold my F6 , I was hoping to convince myself to be happy with a Golf R and or Subaru STI Type R - given the wait on the GT335 - however , after several drives - sitting back in the crouch at home and thinking about it - I might as well continue to try my 'sitter' - as , as much as they are great cars - they do not produce the emotion and smile that of the F6 and or GT335I am guessing , if the choose of owing the F6 and or GT335 - and something in the same vein - apart from the higher dollar - european exotic - then I would gladly drive the Golf R or GTI - but until that time , if I going to shell out the money for the Golf R - then it will be a GT335 or F6

All the tests rate it better than the Commodore. At the end of the day Joe Public doesn't give a toss. They still buy Holden's.Want more proof of that? How about the Cruze. It's effectively a Daewoo, yet the fricken things are everywhere. That's because it's a Holden. If they were still Daewoo's they'd be a lot less on the road.Local Ford products will end. I have no doubt about it. I also believe there's nothing Ford can do to stop it. It doesn't matter what they build. The masses won't buy it.Performance models are irrelevant as they make up a fraction of sales. The fact is people like us aren't where the market is headed.

Buzzboxes or SUVs for most people.High powered AWD/RWD T4 imports/6/8 cylinder cars for us enthusiasts. I mean hoons.

They won't allow Ford Aus to export it as it will interfere with their other markets, and the local market is on a rapid decline, so why would they be promoting it or offering low-interest deals to lose them more money? The T is renowned for being one of the best bang-for-buck vehicles available, just enjoy it while you can. You're effectively paying for the privilege via government handouts.Personally I think they are mad because this paralysing shift to SUV vehicles just don't make sense. Except for the fact that they are typically safer, cheaper to run & insure, more space and better versatility. Which part doesn't make sense? If my daily commute involved 90% tight mountain roads then a sedan may be more suitable, but then a hatch would be even better. So what makes actually sense about a RWD sedan other than the need to feed the aussie bogan in us?

Spinning Donating Members 348 Member For: 15y 7m 15d Posted 22/11/12 07:55 AM Author Share Posted 22/11/12 07:55 AM I recall when Ford delivered the Focus RS , you could n't alone set eyes on it unless you paid your deposit and signed the papers confirming you would take delivery . Why hasn't Ford continued with the RS ? I dont for the life of me understand , they've the car we want , they sell the batch in seconds , yet they don't continue it ????
