I tried to search but on a mobile it isnt exactly the friendliest....

I use my ute for work and play but I am sick of having to take my work folders and files out on the weekend or having my bag of straps and tie downs, jack etc flying around in the ute back.

I want to build 2 boxes for in cabin to go behind each seat. This way I can use one for work and one for my tools.

Was thinking of using some 4 ply and setting them together then carpeting them. With a hinged lid on the top.

Has anyone done this before???

I asked ford and they want $500 for each one!!!

They pop up on eBay a bit. But bidding gets fierce sometimes. Seen them go $200.

Have you put dividers in the tub of the ute? 2 bits of timber and no more stuff sliding all over the place.

I bought the moulded units from ford. A bit pricey at around 4-500 but they fit well and work real good. The pain of the cost has gone now that I am using. It is one unit that goes all the way across the cab behind the seats.
